Two distilleries, 40 miles apart. But the rain, sweat and tears end up in the same place - in the Mississippi River at Dayton, Minn.
At Ida Graves, Lake Ida flows to the Long Prairie River, which empties north into the Crow Wing River near Motley, then heads east to the Mississippi River at Crow Wing State Park.
At Redhead Creamery, water flows to judicial ditch 1, branch 12, fork 6, then the unrelated North Fork Crow River which Highway 55 follows to Paynesville, then meanders through the countryside to Rockford. There, it joins the Crow River, which heads northeast to join the Mighty Mississippi in Dayton.
The land is different, people are different but the appreciation for the quality is the same. This bourbon was born at Ida Graves, and aged in cheese caves at Redhead Creamery. Both are on the west ridge of the Upper Mississippi basin. But ultimately the people involved are part of a mighty river hoping you taste our craft and the care involved.
