Lead Fulfillment

Type: Part time or Full Time

Reports to: Company President

Primary Duties:

  • Cheese cutting and packaging through each step of the process including set up and operation of cheese cutting and packaging equipment and supervising a team to accomplish production goals while maintaining safe and sanitary conditions
  • Participation in routine cleaning, record keeping and Food Safety
  • Working with the cheesemaking team directly on production schedule, ongoing product development and process improvements
  • Responsible for reporting cutting and packaging deficiencies, food safety issues and quality issues
  • Responsible for tracking and maintaining inventories related to cutting and packaging

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices, cleaning, sanitizing or Food Safety is preferred
  • Significant physical strength and endurance, including the ability to lift 30+ lbs comfortably. Can include long days on your feet, in both hot and cold environments (make room and coolers).
  • Team player who wants to work hard, collaborate and work with amazing cheese.
  • Interest in continued education and food safety is a plus.
  • Open minded and able to work well with others, including guiding or correcting team members.
  • Great attention to detail with pride in a job well done

Benefits:

Hourly: $18-$20/hr

Assistant Cheesemaker

Type: Part Time or Full Time

Reports to: Lead Cheesemaker

Primary Duties

  • Assist with the cheesemaking process, which includes draining, stirring, salting, and hooping curds.
  • Assist with post-make clean up, including washing equipment, tools, moulds, tables, tubs, and pipes.
  • Keeps food safety a top priority.
  • Assist with affinage work, including flipping, brushing, washing and record keeping.
  • Assist with packaging and shipping during peak periods. Packaging consists of bagging, wrapping, sealing, and boxing cheese as well as shipping out insulated packages to retail and wholesale customers.
  • Ensure safety standards are being met and recorded.
  • Taste cheese
  • Assist with the continuation of improving the company’s Standard Operating Procedures.

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs safely.

Must be able to handle a moldy environment with the use of PPE.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Detail oriented.
  • Loves a clean and tidy work environment.
  • Thrives with varied responsibilities and daily tasks.
  • Self starter.
  • Works well with a team and goes out of their way to be helpful.
  • Always learning and growing.
  • An effective communicator.
  • Shifts are 5am to 3pm, three to five days a week

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Dairy or Food Manufacturing.
  • Expe­ri­ence with FSMA, USDA or FDA food requirements.
  • Degree in Dairy Man­u­fac­tur­ing, Dairy Sci­ence, Food Sci­ence or related field.
