How many times have you cut the cheese? I have physically cut cheese more times than I can count. With a wire, a girolle, a dutch cheese knife, a meat slicer, a Hart automatic wheel cutter… I mean. A lot.

What’s your favorite booth at the Minnesota State Fair?The Dairy Building with the PK of the Milky Way butterheads, the Gopher Dairy Bar (mix chocolate with strawberry), 4-H State Arts-In, and the 1:00 parade!

What job did you want as a kid?I wanted to be a meteorologist until I learned how much math it took…

What should people know about you?I love to travel. Gardener by genetics (born to be in the dirt). I teach science to 4/5th grades at BBE.

What is your favorite meal of all time? Extra points if cheese is involved!Homemade meatballs and stuffed shells. It was my grandma Katie’s specialty, but now I make it. It is similar to lasagna, but just a different form.

What is your favorite booth at the Minnesota State Fair?I hope I don’t lose my MN card because of this, but I don’t enjoy the State Fair. Too many people and too hot.

What job did you want as a kid?I had a number of them, but all of them revolved around helping: doctor, veterinarian, zoo keeper, or teacher!
Can you whistle? If so, what’s your favorite song?Yes! I always have some sort of song in my head. Most of the time it’s a soundtrack, musical, or jingle (the worst to get in my opinion).

What should people know about you?I grew up on a dairy farm and fell in love with the Holstein cow at a young age. Met the love of my life showing cows.These days, taking milk and making it into cheese gives me a big thrill.Creating and making food is my love language.Ina Garten is my mentor and inspiration.

Tell us about yourself… I grew up on a hog farm in Madison MN. I miss the farm but thankful for the opportunity to learn, work hard and have fun! As a child I wanted to be either a farmer or a nurse.Lee and i have lived in sauk Centre for almost 34 years. I enjoy spending time with kids and grandkids, family and friends, and helping people.My favorite RHC cheese is Lucky Linda and curds!
What should people know about you?I am bilingual. I’ve been working for the past 5 years at the creamery and farm. Currently, I am a pre-med and Spanish major at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.
What job did you want as a kid?My dream has been to pursue a career in medicine, and thankfully, I am actively working toward that goal.
Who is your favorite cow off all time?A cherished memory working at the farm involves Atlanta, a beautiful friendly red and white Holstein, my all-time favorite cow, who sadly passed away on the farm.

Tell us about yourself:I was born and raised in Sauk Centre. I studied Chemistry and Politics at UND and then spent the rest of my 20s in Hawaii training in restaurants and developing fusion-based cuisine

A Meal that I remember was when I was dating and we went to a restaurant in the Twin Cities and I had French onion soup for the first time, and it was covered with a thick layer of Stringy mozzarella cheese, and I fell in love with the girl and the cheese.
Favorite Cows: I have two favorite cows in my career, Curly and Atlanta. Curly was probably one of the most influential cows we’ve ever had as many cows in our herd trace back to her. She was a great type and production cow. Atlanta has come as close to embodying the goals I have in breeding dairy cows as any cow, we have owned. Plus, she had a great personality.

Tell us about yourself: Aside from the cows, I am a big CrossFit enthusiast and a big book worm. I usually read 4-5 books a month.
When was the first time you ate real cheese?Probably when I was living in Tokyo! I don’t remember much cheese from there, but lots of fun ice cream. Milk was tough to like because it’s pasteurized at different temperatures depending on the brand, so you had to find the one you liked.
Favorite Cow? Clementine! A cow of my own. I fell in love with her as a calf. She was friendly and a nice looking dairy calf that I knew would be special. Jerry, Linda, Alise & Lucas surprised me with transferring ownership to me as a birthday/work anniversary gift.
Favorite RHC Cheese: Red Temper! I like how it melts and adds a good kick to burgers or mac ‘n cheese.
Job as a kid?:veterinarian
Tell us about yourself…I was put on this earth to remember and later share mostly useless-but occasionally beneficial-dairy, agriculture, and alcohol knowledge with the world. I spend my daytime hours working for about 1,000 dairy farms across the midwest, helping do a dance of encouraging them to continue improvements in every aspect of their farm, while also explaining to government types that they are truly doing the best that they can. I love my wife and my kids, and whiskey washed munster. All these things keep me going. I try to continue having fun while working hard. Amen.
Where were you and what were you doing when you first ate non-american processed cheese?Likely at a family gathering that included an expansive Swedish smorgas with generic brie and some pepper jelly on top.
What is your favorite meal of all time? Extra points if cheese is involved…My favorite meal of all time would be beef jerky and cream soda if I'm on the road. In a sitdown situation, asparagus, scallops, a side of filet mignon wrapped in bacon and a dessert that has some combination of peanut butter and ice cream.

A bloody mary cheese curd that isn't super spicy and super salty.
