From whey to spirits. Come see how.
Cheesemaking doesn't end when the curds leave the vat. At Redhead Creamery, our farm distillery gives us another creative use for whey, alongside other locally grown ingredients. Join Lucas Sjostrom for a behind-the-scenes look at how we ferment, distill and turn those ingredients into craft spirits.
What to expect: A guided tour lasting approximately 45–60 minutes, an explanation of fermentation and distillation, and tastings of at least three spirits for guests of legal drinking age.
Tour perk: Take $5 off a bottle purchased immediately after your tour.
When you arrive: Check in at the cheese counter under the purchaser's name. No physical ticket is mailed. Your guide meets the group at the bar.
Make a day of it: The bar is open Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.; the kitchen serves food Friday and Saturday, 10:30 a.m.–4 p.m. Arrive early to enjoy lunch or a drink before your tour.
