Cheese Lovers Newsletter (3.16.26): Cheese Rave

This weekend we packed up the cheese and headed to Fargo for Melted: A Cheese Rave at Brewhalla—and yes, it was exactly as delightfully chaotic as it sounds.

Picture this: around 50 meat and cheese vendors, thousands (truly, thousands) of pieces of cheese being sampled, and a dance floor where people were somehow both raving and holding cheese plates. It was a beautiful thing.

The event also featured a “Little Bites” competition, plenty of cheese sampling, and perhaps the most thoughtful festival amenity we’ve ever seen: a cheese rescue station stocked with Tums and Lactaid. A safety net for the brave souls who decided “just one more bite” about 47 times.

We loved meeting the cheese people of Fargo—who, it turns out, are very serious about their dairy and their dance moves. If you missed it this year, keep an eye out for Melted next year. Trust us: it’s worth the trip, the extra cheese, and possibly the Lactaid.
