Cheese Lovers Newsletter (6.26.2021): Redhead Creamery July 4 Party Pack Available This Week
Hello Cheese Lovers,
What a week! Thanks to the roughly 1,074 of you and 40 volunteers and vendors who made it to Curd Fest 2021. Wow, wow, wow. Exactly half of our tickets were pre-sold, so as of Friday we were thinking we would match the 2019 total of about 750 Curd Fest guests... well you pleasantly surprised and delighted us and our vendors. We had long lines from 1 to 2 p.m., and of course we don't want lines either. Although, some of you told us you met new friends in line!
We began planning already for Curd Fest #4 in 2022 on Saturday, June 18. Next year, we'll likely have different hours, more vendors and spread out our food lines. We'll expand the "fest" space and probably cut more alfalfa to make room for parking.
All-in-all, we had fun, and we hope you did too! One thing we're contemplating is showcasing our Minnesota cheese friends as part of the fun, providing more activities for kids and kids at heart, and releasing a cheese just for Curd Fest. Got ideas? Can't promise we'll do them, but send them in!
Thanks for coming, and for those who did not make it, you won't want to miss it next year.

Question of the Week
Question: What's that thing at the end of your driveway?
Answer: It is a dump rake! You can see one like it in action, here. We did hay this week, and utilized a mower/conditioner to cut the hay, then a wheel rake to put it into more commingled rows, and a baler to make round bales of hay.
Before any of those things were invented, you used a dump rake to commingle your hay. See it in action, here: https://youtu.be/osvyzXyy0p8
Yes, it would also make raking leaves in fall a lot easier. No, it isn't available for rent. :)
Have a week filled with cheese!
