Will Travel for Cheese and Community
In this featured Extension story, University of Minnesota Extension highlights how Minnesota farmers and agritourism partners are building stronger connections between agriculture, local food, and community. At the second annual Agritourism Exchange, held in November at Redhead Creamery in Brooten, a diverse group of farmers, industry leaders, and policymakers gathered to share ideas about diversifying farm income and creating rich on-farm experiences. From award-winning artisan cheese to panels on outdoor recreation and networking around agritourism liability, the event showcased the role of agritourism in cultivating community, sparking innovation, and bringing people together around food, land, and rural enterprise.
