Cheese Making Tours
Are you looking for cheese making tours to indulge in your passion for farm-fresh, artisan cheese? Located on the family-owned and run Jer-Lindy Farms, Redhead Creamery's tours take place year-round, with an onsite Cheese Shop that's open for lunch and shopping after you take your tour.
If you're ready to book your tour to delight your cheese sensibilities, we can help! Learn more about our tours, cheese, and the experience of visiting Redhead Creamery.
Visit Our Milking Parlor
You'll start our cheese making tours on the cow side of the farm. Our beloved dairy calves and heifers produce incredibly fresh milk that's poured straight from our milking parlor to our cheese plant with the help of a stainless steel pipeline connected to our creamery.
See Our Cheese Plant
The Redhead Creamery team will give you an overview of the entire cheese-making process through our huge picture windows that offer optimal views for kids and adults of all ages. We'll talk through the history of our dairy cheese story and our farm's sustainability and conservation efforts.
Sample Our Cheeses After Your Tour
Our cheese making tours wrap up with a video on all of the ins and outs of cheesemaking at Redhead Creamery. We also let you sample some of our creations for the freshest-tasting cheese you can imagine. Stop by our tasting room for even more cheese tasting fun, including our pan-fried curds and fresh cheese paninis for lunch.
Learn More About Redhead Creamery
We love sharing our story with Jer-Lindy Farms and Redhead Creamery. Although the farm was established decades ago, we made our first batch of cheese in 2013, and by the end of 2014, we had built and opened our own cheese making facility, fulfilling a childhood dream of our cheesemaker, Alise.
Bring Your Walking Shoes
Our tours last about two hours, with plenty of walking and fresh air. We're also stroller and wheelchair accessible so everyone can enjoy our cheese making tours. After the tour is done, stay and explore our Cheese Shop and cafe to savor our ridiculously good cheeses made fresh on the farm.
Join an Upcoming Cheese Event
Our cheese making tours run year-round, but we also offer special events like cheese pairing experiences, tastings, and cheese and beer evenings. We partner with area vendors and local businesses to create a truly memorable event for you and your group. See all of our upcoming events here.
Grab Our Award-Winning Cheeses
If you can't wait for our next cheese making tour or are planning to visit us during a vacation, you can still make the most of our award-winning cheese right away. Order any of our cheeses online or grab one of our cheese collections, like our Award Winners Gift Box.
This curated collection of our Award Winning Cheeses features our Ridiculously Good Cheddar Cheese Curds, North Fork Munster, Lucky Linda Clothbound Cheddar, Margie Caved Aged Cheddar, St. Anthony Original, Clothbound Garlic Cheddar, and Red Temper Honey Chipotle Cheddar boxed up in a foldable gift box with crinkle kraft paper with a RHC logo sticker to enclose. It's easy to see why these cheeses won awards, like our North Folk Munster for its French-style Munster with an ooey-gooey center.
We also offer a Best Sellers Gift Box packed with our fan favorites. Enjoy our Little Lucy Brie, Lucky Linda Clothbound Cheddar, and Ridiculously Good Cheese Curds, which come pre-wrapped in a wooden box and crinkle paper. Give it to a cheese lover in your life or keep it all to yourself!
